Happy Thanksgiving!

Luna and Michigan Mac would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday!

Our hearts and bellies are full of love and good food. We got to spend the day with our family, eating a great meal, then celebrating a Decker tradition of a little pre-Black Friday shopping! We think it’s important to be grateful for each and every day you can put your two feet, or four paws, on the floor. Every day is a beautiful day above ground! We celebrated today in honor of the wonderful year we’ve had together as adventure partners and know the ones who couldn’t be here with us are looking down upon us, guiding us and keeping us safe throughout all our adventures.

I know I am especially thankful for:

  • My supportive family
  • My loving friends
  • My super sweet dog daughter, Luna
  • My adventure partner
  • Being able to pursue higher education
  • A wonderful job with great coworkers
  • A working vehicle

And lastly,

  • Being able to see all that this beautiful state has to offer, and have readers, like you, to encourage me to follow my passions in writing and adventure.

Luna wanted to side note that she was eternally grateful for her heat blanket, pig ears, snuggles with her mom and dad, car rides, and all the turkey scraps that “fell” on the floor today.

I also wanted to apologize for the small hiatus I’ve been on for the past week. I don’t want to point fingers but…you can blame my law exam, internship interviews, and my cracked radiator for my lack of adventure in the past few weeks. However, Luna and I (and my roommates) did find time to get into the Christmas spirit a little early and decorated our home.

Luna’s wondering why she’s the only present under the tree?!

🙂

Share with me your travels over this Thanksgiving break! I’m excited to go to the Dowtown Kalamazoo Tree Lighting Ceremony tomorrow!
